When we first met Marilyn and Will, we knew they would be up for a little bit of adventure. Will shared how he has proposed in the middle of the woods, so we felt like Tandy Hills would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement pictures! Come to find out, they were pretty familiar with the trails!
So, when we asked if they be willing to walk about a quarter-mile to the spot we had in mind, they were 100% up for it! It gave us plenty of time to swap stories and get to know each other better. We loved hearing about how wedding planning was going. We bonded over the fact that we got married at their venue almost 4 years ago! We were thankful they made it a priority to allow us to capture their engagement photos because their life seems full of excitement at the moment! From new family members born into the family to Will’s grandpa celebrating his 100-year-old birthday (amazing!!)! The walk gave us a chance to help them shake the nerves that we all feel when we get our pictures taken. But as soon as we picked up our cameras, they were naturals. It’s always so hard to know what to do with your hands, but we walked them through every step of the way! It was so fun to watch them laugh and giggle together even if it felt weird! It definitely looks amazing on our cameras!
Marilyn and Will, thank you so much for trusting us with this season of your life! Especially in the midst of the craziness. We love capturing photos, and we love capturing photos of you two! We can’t wait till January to head back to the Brooks at Weatherford and capture your wedding day!
