Our Enneagram Numbers | Wednesdays with Us

Wednesdays With Us

This is a fun one! Lindsay has shared on her Instagram a little about some things we have learned over the past few months about ourselves as it relates to the Enneagram. If you are unfamiliar with the Enneagram, its relatively simple. There are tests you can take, but, honestly, reading the type descriptions is the easiest way to determine which “number” you are. For us, what it comes down to is what are our key motivators and fears in life. This is a direct quote from the Enneagram website: At its core, the Enneagram helps us to see ourselves at a deeper, more objective level and can be of invaluable assistance on our path to self-knowledge. We are not into too much of the hoopla of the thing, but more we love that we can understand each other better when we know these things about each other.

LINDSAY – a 2 through and through

2s, in summary, are the helpers. Lindsay has always defaulted to, “What can I do to help you?” This can be a strength but also a flaw. Lots of 2s are people pleasers and bound by what others think about them!

How Brandon loves Lindsay because she is a 2: One thing Lindsay will remind Brandon to do is to compliment her. Not just to boost her up, but to give a genuine compliment and make sure she really hears him. 2s need to feel loved and supported.

BRANDON – a 7 with a big heart

7s are the spontaneous and adventurous ones. For anyone that knows Brandon even a little would say that this describes his natural state. He loves being challenged and free to explore those challenges! 7s are the embodiment of FOMO (fear of missing out).

How Lindsay loves Brandon because he is a 7: One thing Brandon needs is the ability to try new things, even if it’s just a new restaurant or a strange menu item! 7s always need new adventures to keep themselves excited.

Just because we fit into these two categories doesn’t mean we can’t be something else. Lindsay can still be spontaneous at times, and Brandon is constantly looking for ways to help others. The Enneagram is strictly a starting point to understand one another better! We definitely aren’t experts on the topic, and there are many others more qualified to talk about it! We just wanted to share what numbers we relate to the most and maybe you guys are a little like us!
