4 Things We Watch Every Holiday Season | Wednesdays with Us

Wednesdays With Us

We’ve loved sharing a little about our lives with you all! Over the past couple of weeks, we have shared about our habits, our hobbies, our personalities, and our loves! Our heart behind this series was for you guys to get to know us better because you let us know you so well! When you get married, the vendors that you choose to help you on your wedding day are extremely personal choices. Just as much as you want that connection with us, we want to feel a connection with you guys. It helps everything feel a little less stressful on a wedding day. We hope you have enjoyed these silly facts about us and our life! It’s fun getting texts from past couples saying they started watching one of our top 5 TV shows because we shared about it (true story)!

This week for our Wednesdays with Us series, we are sharing a list consisting of movies & shows that give us all the holiday feels. But, the truth is, we could watch these anytime of the year!

1. You’ve Got Mail

One of Lindsay’s all-time favorites. This Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan movie starts in the Fall but gives us all the holiday feels. That scene where Tom Hanks’ character and his dog come around the corner… gets Lindsay every time.

2. The Holiday

One of Brandon’s favorites. Brandon said that this movie would be on his desert island. Another movie we could watch at any time of the year, but we love saving it for the holidays! It’s all the snow & love.

3. All the Holiday Friends Episodes

If you have read any of our other posts, or know Lindsay at all, then you know that Friends is one of her go-to shows. Around Thanksgiving, Lindsay starts to feel nostalgic and will turn on all the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years episodes. Lindsay’s favorite is “The One With Chandler in a Box” (Season 4, Episode 8). A close second goes to “The One With All the Thanksgivings” (Season 5, Episode 8).

4. The Harry Potter series

This is one of those movie series that is perfect for cold days by the fire when you are needing rest, or need to doze off for a little (only if you have seen them all before). It’s not a holiday movie, per say, but why does Freeform (formerly known as ABC Family) always have Harry Potter marathons during Christmas time?? It’s the snow, I guess. Fun fact: when we were in the hospital for Ellie, they were having a Memorial Weekend Harry Potter marathon, so Ellie was born while we were watching the second Harry Potter movie (our least fav, if we are being honest). “You’re a wizard, Harry.”
