2. Dream big

This is your chance to dream big! Brainstorm some unique locations that you might have special access to that most people don’t. For example, maybe you, or someone in your personal or professional network, can secure permission to a location that would otherwise be off-limits, like a beautiful private estate, the top of a building in Downtown Fort Worth, or even the Rangers Stadium! Maybe it’s a family ranch, upscale hotel or even an airplane hangar. The sky is literally the limit! If something seems out of reach, just remember: you never know until you ask! You only take one set of engagement pictures, so why not make it special? We have gathered some of our favorite Fort Worth spots if you need a place to start brainstorming!

3. Pick your outfit(s)

Don’t hold back now! You’ve got the ring. You’ve found the spot. You must pick something amazing to wear! If you’ve ever wanted to rock a sequined gown, tulle skirt or flower crown but just never had an occasion for it, this is your chance to do it up! Remember: there is no such thing as “too dressed up” when it comes to your engagement session, so don’t be afraid to dream big!

Your outfit can really change the feel of a session especially if you are wanting to have a light and airy feel. Check out these posts for some help when looking for outfit inspiration for light and airy photos!

Men, go fancy this time. Many of our grooms love to mix a suit coat, blazer or sport coat with a different pant color. It adds some extra visual interest and can be more fun than wearing two full suits in a row. We’re big fans of this fresh take on a timeless classic. Three-piece suits photograph SO well too… Just saying 🙂

4. Read the Engagement Style Guide

An extra tip, because we can’t help ourselves… If you are one of our amazing couples, read the Engagement Style Guide before your engagement pictures! There many tips like we have shared here but SO much more!

So that’s it! We hope you feel a little less stressed and a little more excited about your engagement session. This time should be fun, exciting, and full of memories that you will talk about with your kids one day. We want you to have pictures to show them, and say “When we were engaged, we had the most amazing time planning for our future together!” Never forget, we are on your team and we are always here to help you have the most amazing experience!
