Any day with fish is a good day. Wisdom from my father-in-law that now makes much more since having shot Sara and Wesley’s wedding. When Lindsay and I arrived and made our first check-ins with Sara & Wesley, we were greeted with the familiar beautiful sky and perfect weather at the Farmhouse … but we weren’t expecting to hear about the fish that Wesley caught in the back pond! Later, Wesley would go on to remind us that his catch in Sara was by far the best catch of the day. (Dad jokes anyone??)
The standout moment from their wedding for us, however, has to be when we made our way from the reception for sunset portraits. I would love to say we have an image of this moment, but you are just going to have to use your imagination! There is a small path to get to the big beautiful tree on the Farmhouse’s property. To get there, we were met by a large creek bed and without hesitation, Wesley bent over and slapped his thighs to signal Sara to hop on as he carried her across safe and clean. With a loud, “Huh!” Sara hopped on, unable to bend her legs due to her dress. The whole group was laughing to the point of tears. We will never forget this moment and the beautiful moments immediately following we were able to capture!
Sara and Wesley, we really enjoyed getting to spend your day with you! What an awesome wedding day full of laughter and joy. Here’s to hoping we cross paths out on the dance floor at a country bar someday soon.
